BRCA2 gene is found on chromosome 13q12.3. The BRCA2 gene is found mutated in breast and ovarian cancers, the familial breast cancer syndrome, and similar to BRCA1, causes cancer in young females early in life and is more aggressive that common breast cancer. The BRCA2 is found in the transcriptional regulation of genes that are involved in DNA repair.
